The selected smallholders we work with at our London and East branch often keep a range of different animals. Here are some photographs from one such smallholding, dedicated to preserving the biodiversity of heritage breeds of all descriptions using small-scale, high-welfare, traditional farming methods. Too nice not to share!

Hazelbrook Christian Nursing Home residents raise ducklings – March 2019 Manager Alison Harvey said: “It was surprising how many of the residents had chickens and ducks in their back gardens.” Mrs Harvey says it also encourages people to bring their grandchildren in on visits.
